Introducing The M Crew & Our Brand New Family Entertainment Programme

Going live this summer on Marella’s Classic and Discovery Fleet is a host of new concepts for Marella’s family brand M Crew. First to launch will be the M Crew puppet show and game, specifically designed to keep the youngest guests enthralled.
With brand new messages and formats, Peel’s content for Marella brand M Crew is a fun, educational puppet show for the 3-6 years – which also includes two innovative digital concept games. Following a resounding ‘thumbs up’ from Sandy Lane Primary School in North Yorkshire, M Crew – written by Chris Ford, an experienced theatre in education practitioner – incorporates easy to remember songs and actions, designed to stimulate and engage younger audiences, whilst facilitating their learning of pool safety and the importance of friendship and having fun.
The show is also supported by an augmented reality (AR) treasure hunt which enables younger players (via a ship ipad) to crack clues, find hidden M Crew characters and play games. Completing the treasure hunt four days in a row will enable a final code to be solved, generating a prize and certificate.

The children were all captivated by the puppets and learnt all the songs and gestures within minutes! When the show ended they were asking for all the puppets by name, wanting to take them out into the playground to play.”
