      James has been a professional writer and director for nearly two decades. Educated at Oxford Brookes University, he has written and directed many short plays, murder mysteries and vignettes for performance on cruise ships, hotels, stately homes and museums. He has directed well over twenty productions of plays for Peel, from Shakespeare to Alan Ayckbourn.  He also writes many of the scripts featured in our production shows for Thomson Cruises. Peel Heritage commissioned him to adapt Anna Sewell’s Black Beauty for our successful national tours of country house gardens in 2011 and 2012.

      In 2012, James wrote and directed a Ghost Walk for Chapel Cleve house in Somerset, which was featured on Channel 4’s Country House Rescue.

      In 2015 James wrote and directed Death on the Ocean Wave, a six part Murder Mystery featured on a special Castles, Gardens and Mystery Cruise, for Fred Olsen Cruises, MV Boudicca.

      He is currently promoting his latest play, Paradise Road, for production in London.

      Martyn is one of PEEL’s preferred Musical Directors and Composers. He has an international reputation, having conducted major symphony orchestras on three continents. From ‘Last Night of the Proms’, Viennese Concerts, Opera and Classical Rock, he is as much at home conducting the symphonic repertoire as he is popular classics.

      An arranger, conductor and record producer, Martyn has worked with some of the world’s greatest rock artists including The Rolling Stones and Phil Collins. Notably, he has also worked with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sir Tim Rice. Most recently Martyn was flown to Prague to record a session with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra for PEEL’s Cruise Ship production ‘The Curse of Skull Island’.

      A Graduate of Trinity College of Music, Patrick has spent his career working in the Entertainment industry. He has worked on West End shows such as Les Miserables, The Lion King and Grease Is The Word, as well as numerous UK and World Tours such as Fiddler on the Roof and Beauty & The Beast.

      An established Arranger, Orchestrator and Producer, Patrick has worked with numerous Vocalists and Choreographers across the UK and Europe, with his work being featured on TV, in Theatres both in the UK and Internationally, and on International Cruise Lines.

      Recently, Patrick was Musical Director for the award-winning production of Jason Robert Brown’s Parade at the Minack Theatre. Also a specialist teacher, he has held faculty positions at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and for the the last ten years, Patrick has been Musical Director at Laine Theatre Arts.

      Nicky has worked extensively with PEEL for many years and is our lead Choreographer. His choreography, which has been described by critics as ‘…intelligent and engaging…his work weaves observations together beautifully’, can be seen at venues all over the world.

      Nicky’s professional credits include; Beatrix Potter on Ice, the UK tour of India’s famous Ghandi’s Touring Circus, The Chinese State Circus in Dubai UAE, productions for the Opera House and productions ‘Mystique’ and ‘Eclipse’ for major visitor and cultural centre Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK.

      Nicky’s work also includes a vast array of television credits including a series choreographer and celebrity judge for Sky’s Cirque de Celebritie.

A vibrant facility in the heart of Yorkshire

We’re lucky enough to have our own comprehensive facility in Keighley, West Yorkshire, which includes a suite of rehearsal dance and vocal studios, as well as a full wardrobe department and accommodation for casts and teams.

Our rehearsal period lasts from 10-12 weeks, and during this time performers get the opportunity to work with some of the country’s leading choreographers, vocal coaches and musical directors.

Accommodation is provided and our production and recruitment teams are always on hand to offer support every step of the way.

The rehearsal period is not just important for learning routines, but also the perfect place to get to know your team mates ahead of a busy season together.

Head Office

Pinetum at Broughton Hall

Inspiring, stately AND state of the art

Our head office is based within the stunning grounds of the Broughton Hall estate in Skipton, and this is where the PEEL Talent recruitment team operate from.

The team are in charge of securing and auditioning talented performers, artistes and musicians from all over the world. We have a database of over 4,000 international artistes, but don’t think we spend all our time just recruiting as our staff also arrange visas, training and all travel arrangements.

All the support operations including finance and administration are also based at these offices. We also boast a state of the art design suite with a team of in-house graphic and scenic designers, producing art-work, design concepts and 3D models.

The design suite also houses our video editing facilities with specialist videographers and film editors producing a wide range of quality programmes and commercial videos.

In addition, we have an industry-standard music editing facility run by a specialist team for all our arrangements, composition and recording requirements.

    Alan made his name developing Belinda King Presents’ entertainment production company for Cunard’s fleet of cruise liners before joining PEEL in September 2006.

    Recently appointed President of The Agents’ Association, Alan’s knowledge and industry experience helps PEEL book the best guest acts around.

    Script-writer, costume and casting director, Mollie has done it all at PEEL. Born and bred in Yorkshire, she has never let the fact that she’s a Great Grandmother slow her down!

    Mollie is responsible for the commissioning and auditioning of all potential showteam members. She is a familiar face at all of our auditions and was also the lead judge on Sky’s Showboaters series.
