  • Sports and Climbing Wall Hosts

    We’re looking for passionate and experienced professionals to join our team onboard Thomson’s newest additions to their cruise line – TUI Discovery 1 and TUI Discovery 2.

    So are you ready for an exciting life at sea? Imagine travelling the world whilst doing your dream job.

    As one of the Climbing Wall Hosts you’ll be required to supervise all guests who use our onboard climbing wall, ensuring they have fun whilst also carefully managing their health and safety.

    Other duties will include maintaining all relevant climbing equipment, muster (sea safety) duties and any other duties required by the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Directors. This is the perfect chance for somebody with an outgoing, sociable personality to travel the world, make new friends and make money all at the same time.

    Applicants must already have, or be willing to complete, sea safety training. We also ask that all applicants possess a full CWA accredited qualification.

    The ideal applicant will have these relevant qualifications and at least one years’ experience in a similar fitness and/or recreational sports instructor role, as well as a sense of adventure and a willingness to socialise with our friendly guests!

  • Children's Hosts

     

    The Role

    You will be working closely with the Chief Kid’s Host in the day to day running of the Kids Club. You will be the face and one of the main points of contact for the parents and the children who attend.

    You’ll be responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities whilst ensuring a safe environment at all times. Kid’s Club run numerous sessions throughout the day and night including sessions such as

    What you’ll do:

    • Deliver first-rate, fun and engaging entertainment to children onboard aged 3-17 years old
    • Take part in all aspects of daytime and evening children’s entertainment activities, to ensure a high quality cruise experience
    • To run and take part in an Augmented reality Treasure Hunt ensuring all equipment needed for the event is ready and any technical faults reported to the Senior Children’s Host immediately
    • To assist the Showteam and Family Hosts with the Kids Club Flashmob offering help as and when required, as well as being present as a representative of the Kids Club
    • To assist the Showteam and Family Hosts with the rehearsals for “Treasure Island” in order to help manage the Children and help with any other tasks as and when required
    • Ensure the correct usage and storage of children’s resources, reporting any faults, damage and/or replacement requirements to the Chief Children’s Host
    • Devise ‘teen’ friendly activities and support a programme for older children, in particular In times when there are only a small number of Kids onboard
    • During quiet periods you should think of creative and unique ways to allow Passengers to see the presence of kids club despite a low number of Children
    • To undertake the responsibility of weekly embarkation and debarkation duties in order to help create a smooth transition of passengers arriving and leaving the ship.
    • To promote the Kids Club around the ship through taking part in entertainment activities in order to increase the number of Children attending and to make other passengers aware of Kids Club.

    Contracts

    We have numerous different lengths of contracts available, including full contracts (6-12 months) and also high season contracts, which are usually 1-6 weeks during school holidays.

    You would need to obtain a full DBS check from PEEL and an ENG1 medical which is a requirement for all members of staff working on board a cruise ship, and if on a full contract you will obtain a full sea and fire safety certificate.  But don’t worry we will help you with all of this!

  • Saxophonists

    Fancy jamming with our resident DJ and entertaining guests in the newly renovated ‘Live Room’, the stunning ‘Atrium’ as well as beautiful sunset and sail-away sets up on deck?

    As part of the onboard entertainment team you will supply first rate musical entertainment during the daytime and evening programmes. Working with other musicians and technicians on board to rehearse, sound check and perform to achieve outstanding performances.  You will deliver high energy, live entertainment to interact and engage with our valued guests.

    You will enjoy performing on board in the shows, contemporary cocktail bar, nightclub and deck areas as directed.  Saxophonists will be able to read music and have an existing repertoire to play solo to backing tracks whilst being able to improvise playing alongside the onboard DJ with a lively, holiday, party feel.  Other duties may include, muster (sea safety) duties and any other duties required by the Cruise Director and Entertainment Manager.

    This is the perfect chance for somebody with musical talent and an outgoing personality to travel the world, make new friends and make money all at the same time.

    Applicants must already have, or be willing to complete, sea safety training and ENG1 medical certificate.

  • Guitar Vocalists

    We’re looking for passionate and experienced Guitar Vocalists to join our entertainment team on board cruise lines.

     

    As part of the onboard entertainment team you will supply first rate musical entertainment during the daytime and evening programmes. Working with other musicians and technicians on board to rehearse, sound check and perform to achieve outstanding performances.  You will deliver high energy, live entertainment to interact and engage with our valued guests.

    You will enjoy performing in shows, lounges and deck areas as directed.  Musicians will have an existing repertoire and be prepared to rehearse and prepare new musical entertainment as directed by Management.  Other duties may include, muster (sea safety) duties and any other duties required by the Cruise Director and Entertainment Manager.

    This is the perfect chance for somebody with musical talent and an outgoing personality to travel the world, make new friends and make money all at the same time.

  • Lighting Technicians

    A real opportunity for personal and technical development – our Technicians are responsible for ensuring the entire operation runs as smoothly as possible during our award-winning entertainment on board our worldwide fleet of Cruise Ships. PEEL is currently recruiting for experienced Lighting Technicians who possess both the knowledge and drive to develop their careers within an award-winning company.

    Working with PEEL Talent you will:

    • Work with both ETC Ion and Grand MA lighting desks, so previous experience in these is essential.
    • Enjoy a varied role as you operate lighting for numerous entertainment areas onboard, including our ever-popular main production shows, rehearsals and second lounge entertainment.
    • Maintain and be responsible for the lighting design for each show, including basic gobo and colour changes.
    • You’ll also occasionally operate lighting for shows from pre-designed production books.
    • You will carry out any general technical assistance, working closely with and learning from the Senior Technician.
    • Quality control is essential when working with PEEL – you’ll also work with the Senior Technician on all technical matters regarding lighting in entertainment areas onboard.
    • You’ll also work with a wide number of guest entertainers and groups, where you’ll have the opportunity to find out their lighting requirements for upcoming shows and activities.
    • Assist with any technical or staging requirements for daytime activities and stage set ups/pack downs, working closely with other technicians to build a rapport within the technical team.

  • Piano Vocalists

    PEEL Talent are looking for talented and experienced Piano Vocalists who are ready for their next challenge, performing on our fleet of cruise ships to thousands of people every week. We’re seeking individuals with an outgoing personality who will thrive within the cruising culture, and be willing to interact with guests both on and off stage.

    With a repertoire of at least 300 songs in a mixture of modern and traditional styles, our Piano Vocalists are regarded as some of the most talented performers on cruise ships – 4 of our ships were recently ranked in the top 5 for Best Entertainment in the 2017 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards – so our audience agrees as well. Our guests are admirers of fantastic music and are the most appreciative you will ever come across; it will be like performing to a group of friends every evening.

  • Technicians

    A real opportunity for personal and technical development – our Technicians are responsible for ensuring the entire operation runs as smoothly as possible during our award-winning entertainment on board our worldwide fleet of British Cruise Ships. PEEL are currently recruiting for experienced:

    Sound Specialists: Operate sound for all main production shows, rehearsals and various other forms of entertainment, carrying out all required checks, and liaising with artistes to discuss their specific requirements. Competent in using Soundcraft Digital Desks, operating and programming Qlab Show Control. Live mixing duties will include at least 10 vocalists with track, live bands and click track, along with maintenance of sound equipment; soldering skills desirable.

    Lighting Specialists: Design and operate lighting for all entertainment areas including main production shows, rehearsals, and lounge entertainment, liaising with artistes to discuss their specific requirements. Previous experience working with ETC Ion and grandMA Lighting Desks, and operating and programming Qlab Show Control. Experience in using LED screens and video processors are essential, also maintenance and general upkeep of equipment including LED moving fixtures; soldering skills desirable.

    DJ/AV: Provide first-rate disco entertainment to cater for a wide audience and assist in the operating and maintenance of lighting, sound, and technical equipment. Carry out any general technical assistance as required, and operate AV for light entertainment such as PowerPoint and sound cues. May also be required to carry our general technical duties such as ensuring the correct usage and storage of technical and staging resources.

    Digital Content: Schedule & manage content for ship wide digital signage in a variety of areas on board, whilst maintaining a library of content and observing areas for improvement. Load and monitor on-demand video & media content and where required assist with filming and Broadcast duties for live events. Experience with content management systems, copywriting, broadcasting and content scheduling is desirable however training will be given; some skills with programmes within Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous. 

    Broadcast: Ascertain programs to be recorded or aired on the board television network, selecting movies, satellite or local television stations from which programs will be transmitted on the internal network, monitoring to ensure all channels are operating properly, whilst maintaining inventory and all equipment to a high standard. Previous experience should include broadcast systems and video production including camera use and editing, with operational use of lighting kits and three-point lighting systems. Knowledge of content management systems and design text processing is essential.

    General Stage: Must have the ability to operate and maintain both analogue and digital sound desks, and be competent in both Mac and Windows operating systems. Candidates will show strong technical skills across sound, lighting, and staging with previous experience in a technical role.
